What is QPPM?
QPPM is an end-to-end Project Portfolio Management solution built entirely on the Microsoft Power Platform. It leverages Microsoft Planner for scheduling and provides a secure, scalable environment for managing projects, programmes, and portfolios within Microsoft 365.
How is QPPM different from other PPM tools?
Unlike traditional PPM tools, QPPM is fully Microsoft-native, hosted in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, and offers complete customisation through global settings. It’s sold as a one-off cost and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, Planner, and Power BI.
Do I need additional licenses to use QPPM?
Yes. While QPPM itself is a one-off cost, you will need the appropriate Microsoft licenses such as Power Apps, Planner Premium, and Power BI Pro. These are procured through your existing Microsoft licensing provider.
How quickly can QPPM be deployed?
QPPM can be deployed in hours, not weeks. Standard onboarding typically completes within 1–6 weeks depending on complexity and readiness.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored in Microsoft Dataverse within your Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring compliance with GDPR and Microsoft’s global security standards.
Does QPPM include scheduling tools?
Yes. QPPM uses Microsoft Planner Premium for scheduling, offering grid, board, and timeline views, dependencies, milestones, and templates.
Can I customise QPPM?
Absolutely. QPPM includes a Global Settings admin app that allows you to customise fields, forms, views, and themes without external support.
Does QPPM support reporting?
Yes. QPPM includes embedded Power BI dashboards for real-time insights across projects, portfolios, resources, and financials.
What onboarding options are available?
QDC offers two approaches:
- Self-Managed Configuration – Full control with training and documentation.
- QDC-Assisted Customisation – Expert-led setup and tailored enhancements.
Does QPPM include training?
Yes. QPPM Enterprise includes access to our embedded Training App, which provides on-demand learning resources for users and admins. In addition, Enterprise deployments include up to 8 hours of live training (4 hours for Core), covering navigation, configuration, and best practices.
What happens if we stop using QPPM?
As QPPM is hosted in your tenant, you retain full control of your data. QDC will assist with data extraction and revoke access upon termination.
Is QPPM GDPR compliant?
Yes. QPPM is hosted entirely within your Microsoft 365 tenant and adheres to Microsoft’s compliance certifications, including ISO 27001 and GDPR.
How is data secured?
Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Role-based access control and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication are enforced.
Can QPPM integrate with other tools like JIRA or ServiceNow?
Yes. We offer fixed-price integration packages for popular systems such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and ServiceNow, plus custom integrations via Power Automate.
Can QDC help migrate our existing data?
Yes. We offer fixed-price migration support for importing legacy data from Excel into QPPM.
How do updates work?
Customers with an active support subscription receive free updates for UI enhancements, security patches, and performance improvements. New modules are optional costed add-ons.
